MSK Ultrasound

Musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSKUS) is a dynamic, radiation-free imaging modality that provides live visualization of soft-tissue structures—muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, and peripheral nerves—during movement. At Tender Loving Care Physical Therapy, we integrate MSKUS into our evaluations to rapidly identify injuries, guide precise treatments, and objectively monitor healing progress.

What Is MSKUS?

MSKUS employs high-frequency sound waves to generate real-time images of soft tissues. Unlike static modalities (X-ray, CT, MRI), ultrasound can capture tissue behavior under load, revealing subtle tears, inflammation, fluid collections, or mechanical faults that inform targeted interventions.
